12" Hip Hop Blends Tape Vol. One Mixtape

This is a recording of a cassette mixtape I made a few years ago during covid lockdown, using records I pulled from my own personal stash. There are a few songs from records I came across during that particular season but nearly every blend was me. No Serato was used, strictly human. I tried my best to stay inside the pocket and although I fell in and out at times, I still love the rawness this tape captured on the recording. Peace and love to the hip hop culture and all its elements! I've been a hip hopper since I was a young boy and will forever be one. Growing up in San Antonio, Texas, I was always in the middle and was able to soak up the various hip-hop flavors from the west, mid, and east coast. My collection of records spans more than 25 plus years and continues to grow every day. This is the first of many mixtapes to come, new and particularly, older ones. I love the era we are in now, where vinyl and cassettes are beginning to take center stage once again as they should. During the darkest times of Covid, while we all were locked away in our homes, I recorded many mixes. The blended tracks I did not create came from a record by Mndsgn, "Snax."
